Monopotassium citrate anhydrous is manufactured from citric acid and potassium hydroxide.It is also named potassium dihydrogen citrate.Monopotassium citrate anhydrous occurs as white crystalline powder.It is freely soluble in water and practically insoluble in ethanol (96 %). It is a non-toxic, neutral salt with low reactivity. It is chemically stable if stored at ambient temperatures.Basically,monopotassium citrate anhydrous should be kept in airtight container in case the product is affected with damp.
